If you did your research and found it to be a good niche, then don't give up. I am in no way a pro at Internet/Affiliate marketing but I believe it takes time AND I believe it's best to focus on ONE thing until it can pretty much run on auto. I have had my blog for just a year now and haven't made much at all BUT I'm not giving up since I just started to make it my main focus. I can say I went to your dog blog and it took a while to load. A lot of graphic stuff and it seemed crowded to me with all the widget boxes and stuff on the side. Maybe a different template would work better? Also I'm personally not sold on having Adsense on the blog. I have one block but will probably get rid of it. I don't really want my readers to leave my blog/site. Other things you can do are keyword research and use those in your titles and posts and monetize with affiliate programs. Researching keyword phrases also helps you get ideas on what to post about, what people are looking for when they go to Google. It would also be great to try to get your readers involved by asking a question in every post opening it up for discussion. Oh and I'm going to start doing full product reviews on my website so that is a way you could monetize your blog too.
